Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum. It was probably the most guarded buildings in Vietnam. The Vietnamese had a lot of respect for the man, which you could see everywhere you went.

Something a little different from the norm, but this really gotten the emotions going. So graceful it hurts. Even though I’ve never been big on dance, this makes me miss working in performance art in general - the rush, the elation, the passion. It’s pretty fucking awesome when you get to work on something that is just simply beautiful.

I honestly have no idea how people are creatively driven everyday without feeling like total shit about their work on a constant basis - second guessing it, comparing it, scraping it (because it didn’t turn out the way you expected it). I feel completely talentless and uncreative. I feel like my photography is, for the lack of better words, fucking shit.

Sadly, it’s was winter and pretty cloudy, but you could really sense how freaking amazing this place was. So calming staying overnight on the boat in the bay. Worth putting it on the proverbial ‘bucket list’, if you’re so inclined for such a thing.

So, I’ve started a new blog called Three Little Birdies. They feature my birds Charlie, the sun conure, and my two little cockatiels, Sam & Oliver.

This is Charlie.

Charlie is my gorgeous 3 and a half month sun conure. He is just starting to love baths and water. He has a thing about my eyelashes and can be awfully loud, but I love him anyway.

Today I taught him the command ‘turn around’, so now everytime I say ‘turn around’, he turns and then gets a small piece of almond. He goes crazy for almonds.

One of the few things I don’t like about home is the lack of history and culture that is imbedded in other countries. The Buddhist religion and it’s symbolism is everywhere in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam - their homes, in the streets, in the architecture and it’s so many hundreds and thousands of years old.

Granted there is aboriginal culture within Australia, but sadly there isn’t as much documented or presented to go check out.
