1. Peaceful.

Walking barefoot across here was heaven.

  2. Japan is an amazing country with a lot of pride and integrity. With that, they try to hide their social issues like disability, homelessness and suicide.

I think I’m proud of myself for having the guts to take this. Pretty much speaks for itself.

  3. Waiting for a train.

  4. This lovely lady was on my bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka, heading towards Hiroshima. She noticed my horrible horrible Japanese in asking for a beer and some food, laughed, then started to talk to me in really decent English. She even helped me at Osaka for my next train.

Worst part is that I didn’t ask her name.

  5. It doesn’t matter the job, the Japanese always seem to do it to the best of their ability with no complaints. Always professional. They also do a good uniform.

These are the ticket inspectors for the shinkansen.

  6. People watching while standing at crossings was one of my favourite things. Everyone stopped still for a few minutes in a fast-paced city.

  7. This sums up pets in Japan pretty well, I think. The owner was beyond delighted that I asked to take a picture of her dog.

  8. Old ladies and bikes. Adorable! All old people in Japan are pretty adorable, actually.

  9. I only had one person on my airport express train from Narita to get excited with, even if she didn’t know about it.
